What could be worse/than finding you/a month before/the full moon/that asked me/to relinquish your sacred being/right back to her./we were alone for the first time when I thought, Is this what it’s like to be with me?/and not in the sense that you could ever be anything other than other,/and yet I’m daring to believe/that your wholeness and my wholeness/are gazing at one another with love./I allow you to be my teacher/and I welcome you into my story/for as long as you’re meant to be./ and I don’t resist the upending nature/of how you take your time
